Ph.D. graduate students
The Amend/Pienta Lab accepts rotation students from graduate programs in Cellular and Molecular Medicine (CMM; SRA and KJP), Pathobiology (SRA and KJP), and Pharmacology (KPJ).
Email PI Sarah Amend for rotation availability or if you are in another program.
Undergraduate students
Research during the academic year:
The Amend/Pienta Lab accepts motivated undergraduate students who are able to commit to multiple hours/week. Students will work closely with a graduate student or postdoctoral fellow and may have the opportunity to lead their own project. Prior experience is not required, enthusiasm and commitment to learn is essential.
Women and minorities are strongly encouraged to apply.
Email PI Sarah Amend for questions and to set up a meeting to discuss possible open projects.
Summer Urological Research Experience (SURE):
Dr. Sarah Amend is Director of the Brady Urological Institute’s summer internship program. SURE is an 8-week paid mentored research experience that includes molecular/cell biology research, surgical and clinical shadowing opportunities, and weekly seminars and journal clubs.
SURE is open to all currently enrolled undergraduate students. Students from colleges with limited opportunity for research are especially encouraged to apply. Application information will be posted when available.
